Phil's Video Blog 211 - Dog Sitting

Image
Phil's Video Blog 211 - Dog Sitting https://youtu.be/oaNB25qmxsE Yesterday I went to dog sit a well behaved boy called Nero. I took him for a short walk (for me, when I say walk, for me it's a creaky clicking rickety crawl propped up with my walking stick) Nero was great on the lead, didn't pull one bit, and seemed to sense that it was going to rain, he turned round and walked us back, every few moments looking back at me to see if I was ok!, such a good boy! Back pain in the night

Image
So, in the middle of the night my body decided I didn't need any more sleep and woke me up. A tingly type of pain, which develops in to a constant aching pain which seems to then spread from my mid to lower back and then moves up the back to also cover the top part of my body. Sometimes I get one pain in the mid to lower part of my back and my neck and shoulders at the same time, then the two seem to join up. I am really not liking trying to live my life with pain, it really gets me down. Seems my medication isn't really doing much to counteract it, it eases a little, but that's about all. Think of it as the sound on a hifi. The pain I wake up with and live with on a daily basis is at 9 or 10 - full volume, which gets reduced to 6 or 7. I am ALWAYS in pain and that makes my life horrid.

Phil's Driving Adventures Episode 1

Image
PHIL'S DRIVING ADVENTURES - Episode 1 In this premiere episode , a trip from just outside my flat in Bonymaen to Morfa Retail Park , its a short car ride, but full of speed bumps. The speed bumps are important to test out my in car phone holder to see if it stays attached to the dashboard, which thank goodness, it does! (thank you 3M for creating your sticky pads!) My car, Peugeot Rifter 1.5 Alure BlueHDi is Ultra Low Emission , thanks to AdBlue technology. How does AdBlue work? - Tiny amounts of AdBlue are injected into the flow of exhaust gases. At high temperatures AdBlue turns to ammonia and carbon dioxide. Inside the SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) catalyst, harmful nitrogen oxide in the exhaust reacts with the ammonia and is transformed to harmless nitrogen and water. Similar technology has been used effectively for years in buses and heavy lorries. Life with Spondylitis

Image
Life with spondylitis, an inflammatory disease, can mean living your days in constant lower back pain as your immune system attacks your joints and spine. Unfortunately, because your outward appearance may not reflect the physical pain happening in your body, your friends, family, co-workers, and other observers might think you’re perfectly fine. One survey found that  54 percent  of people with ankylosing spondylitis felt that friends and family did not understand their chronic illness. Spondylitis and chronic pain can take a toll on your overall wellness and quality of life. A strong  network of support  is one way to get the help you need when living with spondylitis. Because the symptoms of spondylitis are often invisible, it’s important to be able to discuss your condition with the people who love you most or those who will see you most often. Understanding Spondylitis Pain Spondylitis , a type of arthritis, is an autoimmune disease, which means that the immune system

Wales moves to alert level zero

Image
FROM THIS MORNING, 7th August 2021 :-  Wales has moved to Covid alert level zero, meaning social distancing rules and most other restrictions have now come to an end. PLEASE NOTE: This applies to everyone in Wales and all those from everywhere else who come in to Wales, with no exceptions! Almost 17 months after Wales' first lockdown, nightclubs are allowed to reopen and meeting indoors is permitted. Face masks are still required in most public indoor places, but not in pubs, restaurants or schools. T hey will still be needed on public transport  across Wales. From 6am on Saturday, August 7 many of the legal Covid requirements will be lifted.  This will include the fact that masks will no longer be required in hospitality settings. Social distancing is also no longer a requirement. But First Minister Mark Drakeford has warned against a "free-for-all". On a personal note, I would say to keep wearing masks in crowds, and with in large indoor gatherings even ent
