Shortages

Image
My View on Shortages:- Do you know how we end up with shortages? people panic buying for no reason. Fuel for instance, idiots were queuing to fill their cars up and some were also stock piling fuel in jerry cans and other containers, not only is doing this dangerous it is also being very greedy, and preventing others from doing so. The media such as the BBC, Sky, ITV and other outlets, all added to the madness by reporting the few petrol stations that had run out of fuel, and it was only a few, but as what always happens, mass hysteria took over and before we knew it queues were formed and other petrol forecourts were running dry. I managed to get my diesel for my car yesterday morning, my regular weekly amount, not a drop more. I refused to become part of the problem. Fuel shortages at petrol station forecourts have been caused by people panic-buying , not by a shortage of HGV drivers, a top minister has said - and soldiers are not being called up to drive tankers. Energy Switch - Boost to OVO

Image
I'm switching from  Boost (pay as you go) to OVO (pay monthly)  for my electric and gas. This is the first step to switching my energy provider,  Boost and OVO are owned by the same company.  I will update this story as things move along! With switching from Boost to OVO the following things will happen... 1: My credit meter will be switched over from a credit meter to a debit meter (all done via their mobile network, without human intervention) 2: My monthly spend will be reduced down by about £10 to £15 a month. 3: I will STILL be able to apply for the Warm Home Discount . Switching now will mean I won't miss the Warm Home Discount application process. 4: Switching will make it easier to switch energy provider in future. The initial call to Boost went very well. The switching process was explained to me in a way I could easily understand .  As a PRIORITY CUSTOMER ( due to my health and disability ) the same team I currently deal with / speak to will be the ones I speak

Wallop; what a life... NOT!

It is sure annoying, when you go somewhere and can't do what you really want to do because the pain is so great. Was down in Wallington dog and house sitting, and went out to walk the dog, Nikki, in Richmond Park. Started out ok, but soon went down hill. My knees started playing up clicking and popping, then my left hip followed by my lower back. Had to sit down and take a few pain killers. The next thing that occured wass I started to get problems with my breathing and a tight chest, nothing too bad, but enough to knock the wind out of my sails.  Headed back to the car and went back to the house. Once back I tried to relax and rest. Even sitting out in the sun in the garden didn't really help. The heat did with my back and other body pains, but the air was so still, dry and hot that I could hardly breath. Later in the evening I started to get more pain, all over, pins and needles overload, thumping headache and felt clammy. Had to go to bed, even though I wanted to watch a fe

Just what is my life like?

Image
Living with spondylitis, a type of inflammatory arthritis, comes with a long list of  symptoms . Alongside characteristic symptoms like back pain, a common complication of spondylitis and other inflammatory conditions is  cognitive impairment , or “brain fog." This includes mental changes like temporary memory loss, forgetfulness, and difficulty remembering words and phrases. Forgetting what you were about to say can be embarrassing, and not being sure if you took your medications can be scary. Luckily, there are some ways to manage memory loss and live better with spondylitis. What Does Memory Loss With Spondylitis Feel Like? As with any spondylitis symptom, each person experiences memory loss differently and to different degrees. Some MySpondylitisTeam members have shared that they feel as if their minds are in a confused fog, like one who wrote, “I have memory loss and fogginess.” Another member described her memory loss and brain fog as affecting mostly her short-t
