Holiday, Motability and Radio

Well tomorrow I start my long trip to Gran Canaria for a week, will be staying with a friend outr there. 5 hours on a coach, 2 hours in Gatwick and 4 hours 20 on a plane... just hope I don'rt pick up the #CoronaVirus I'm not worried about it, there's been mass #hysteria going about, panic buying #toiletpapertoilet paper, #handsanitiser, hand soap and #facemasks. There is no need to #panicpanic buy, so please PLEASE stop!

I've ordered a motability car today. I have decided on the Peugeot Rifter because of drive height, getting in and out of, and the boot access, #economy and #environmental issues. This car will mean I can get around better, and not feel as #agitated and achy when I get to where I am going.

I am now more serious in looking for some freelance radio or voiceover work. If you have anything going from an advert to a show that needs cover - please get in touch. Demos at www.itsmyvoice.me.uk

My health is not best shape, I feel I should be open and honest about this. I suffer with Ankylosing Spondylitis. I'm on injections every two weeks,on pain meds daily. I'm in pain always, it’s not a case of ‘am I in pain’ it’s a case of ‘how high is the volume’.

During my trip I will be posting photos mostly on Instagram and Facebook

#Brexit 2 month's away

#BREXIT isn’t far off, but Mrs. May’s plan crashed out during a vote in Parliament.
At the moment lots of companies are planning on moving from the UK, and those that are staying are planning on scaling back.
UK regions such as Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland would have been entitled to a 22 per cent raise in support from the EU under the budget plans for the 2021-2027 period, up from the €10.6 billion or £9.3 billion that the UK receives in the current 2014-2020 budget package, according to the report, by a network association of European regions.
This funding loss will be most keenly felt in two regions: Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, and West Wales and the Welsh Valleys. These are classed as ‘less developed regions’, and currently receive most of the UK’s regional funding.
The UK must not crash out with a #NoDealBrexit , it would be far better for one of these to happen: 1: #Remain 2: #ThePeoplesVote 3: stay in the #CustomsUnion 4: enter a #NorwegianStyleBrexit
If we crash out with

UK and the EU

So the people on the UK have had the vote, to 'remain' in or 'leave' the EU... the vote was a close one to leave, which has caused no end of problems.

The pound has lost value, companies have decided to ditch the UK and its workers and shift to other countries, Scotland want to go it alone and Northern Ireland wants to reunite with Eire and leave the UK.

David Cameron is to stand down (....no real loss there then!), Jeremy Corbyn won't stand down from Labour even though he cabinet is jumping ship.

One thing that Labour said during it's 'leave' campaign was that the NHS was to get an extra £350m a week... which they now say 'sorry this won't happen' a out and out lie from them then - which when people saw this made people vote

Plaid Cymru leader, Leanne Wood said in Cardiff earlier today 'We have to hold the leave campaigners to the vow they made during the EU campaign, including an extra £350m for the NHS every week.
We need to make sure the …

Looking back on 2019 and ahead to 2020

Well, it’s that time again for my annual looking back on 2019, not been too good a year, only managed one festival this year, my health has really taken its toll on things, how I function and also on my mental state.

I won high rate PIP on care and mobility, with huge thanks to Amii, she is a wonderful woman, one of the best friends in life. She has her own issues, but seems to be able to help others than sort her own out… I wish my mind was able to help her in the same way she has helped me I really do.

Neil has been a star, cheering me up, making dullest of days seem brighter, looking after my flat when I went on a little holiday, and also looking after my plants.

I want to say a massive thank you to Helen as well. She recently started a group on Facebook that I managed to join up to for a trial, only managed 2 days though I seem to recall. I did however manage to get something out of it. Also some of her posts, huge thanks to her, she is wonderful.  If you feel you need a bit of l…
