Leaking Taps Well Caredig are here to fix dripping tap, they don't change washers any more, they change the taps! What a wasteful world we live in. I said to the chap why not change just the washer? seems a waste not to, so he went to see if he had just a washer and he would Job done, and the taps were changed

 SA RADIO LIVE is coming! From 30th September 2024 at 7am, Swansea's TRULLY local radio station will be SA RADIO LIVE. The station will feature ex-Swansea Sound and The Wave presenters, along with some of the current Radio Tircoed presentation team. Join Shaun Tilley for Breakfast and Steve Dewitt mid-mornings from 30th September.  Other voices from the past include Griff Harries, Siany, Leighton Jones, Mark Powell, Matthew Morrissey, James Lewis, Smithy, Mike Menner, Chris Harper, Karl Burtonshaw and more! You can also continue to hear Dave Hixson, Dave O'Rourke, Serious Jones, Mike Lewis and others currently on Radio Tircoed. I will also continue to host In The Groove on a Saturday Night, in a new time slot of 10pm until 1am. So after months of having Karl Burtonshaw trying to get me to start back at Swansea's only community radio station he has succeded! I'm back!  Karl is a very  persistant chap! I startted back on 20th April with my show, In The Groove , which airs on a Saturday evening between 6pm and 8pm, LIVE. If you have followed me for a while you will know what the show is all about, it remains that but with added extras, such as local content. Also on board at the station is Shaun Tilley, ex-Swansea Sound & The Wave plus BBC and other stations. He is a radio legend and someone I have been following the career of over time. He has big plans for the station, which, at time of typing this blog, is not public knowledge, so won't be put here until it is. I've been made part of the management team going forward, which is a massive honor for me, and shows that someone who is in the know in the radio world has faith in me. Just put together a vegetable bake. Part boiled some sliced potatoes and carrots, then into a creamy mushroom sauce added grated garlic and English mustard, shook it up.  Layered up the carrots and potatoes and put some of the sauce, put in a small tin of sweetcorn, more sauce, then the rest of the carrots and potatoes and the rest of the sauce. It's in the oven ready to bake later  It would go well with smoked haddock, smoked cod or the cheaper smoked white fish  Oh yes, Saturday Kitchen is on BBC One at 10am on Saturday!   In to the fifth month of the year , still getting tired a lot, my blood pressure seems to be improving, and my diabetic blood sugar levels seem to be within a good range. Eye wise, I am due some laser zapping again to clear up as one specialist called it, frosting behind the lens that was put in, after that my vision should be ok, so am now on a waiting list for that!   5 th May 2023: Woke up by great pain in my right arm, right shoulder, top of my back and neck, feeling sick with the pain again too. Pain is at 9 out of 10 I would say.   8 th May 2023: Well, it’s my 48 th birthday today, kind of a quiet one, uneventful, but that’s ok. Pain at a capable level, felt a little queasy this morning but not sick though.   9 th May 2023: Managed to venture out today with Neil. Feeling fed up right now. My blurry eye is pissing me off right now and the floaters I can see too, the 25th May can't come soon enough. Fed up of my aches and pains. On the 8th May it was my birthday, I needed to get out. Managed a short walk around Clyne and then the Marina, all the time in pain, but trying to keep going. My left hip has been playing up for a while, and now the right one seems to want to join in. It's like my entire body is ganging up on me. Co-codamol, Gabapentin and CBD oil - the three things that help reduce, but not much. Now, why is CBD oil so expensive? Monday I went to see Juliet, she understands what I am going through. Had a hot chocolate and a catch up chat. I wonder when hospital appointments are going to start back up again? I really need a letter to get me moved out in to a ground floor flat. St Thomas or Mount Pleasant would be cool for me.

Thursday 14th April   I feel like staying in bed, but must try to get up. I am in agony with my shoulders and lower back and am a bit pissed off. The eye specialist's secretary phoned yesterday after I sent an email. I'm still down to be seen, but they have a slight backlog. Apparently when they operate on my bad eye is down to the health of the good eye.... Bloomin' stupid if you ask me. I again pointed out that it is affecting what I can do, and my enjoyment of life. I want to get out there and go for long drives and walks in nature and visit new places, but can't enjoy anything. I'm so fed up, I just want it done so I can enjoy my life again. I don't want to be living life with my left eye all a blur. PHIL'S DRIVING ADVENTURES - Episode 1 In this premiere episode , a trip from just outside my flat in Bonymaen to Morfa Retail Park , its a short car ride, but full of speed bumps. The speed bumps are important to test out my in car phone holder to see if it stays attached to the dashboard, which thank goodness, it does! (thank you 3M for creating your sticky pads!) My car, Peugeot Rifter 1.5 Alure BlueHDi is Ultra Low Emission , thanks to AdBlue technology. How does AdBlue work? - Tiny amounts of AdBlue are injected into the flow of exhaust gases. At high temperatures AdBlue turns to ammonia and carbon dioxide. Inside the SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) catalyst, harmful nitrogen oxide in the exhaust reacts with the ammonia and is transformed to harmless nitrogen and water.
