Damn the DVLA in Swansea dragging their feet over removing code 78 from my driving license. It's stressing me out and affecting, possibly, my holiday, affecting me getting a new Motability car AND me moving on in life in aiming to drive a coach as a job.  I've rediscovered my love of driving, and at.the moment the DVLA risk wrecking that for me. I discovered the code while at J&J Motors in Skewen while starting an application for my new Motability car. I got in touch with the DVLA that same hour, and was told an investigation would be started. It was a whole week before I discovered what had happened after I had phoned them. Now I know I messed up by ticking a wrong box. As soon as I discovered what I had done I tried to rectify the issue. I wrote a letter pointing out my mistake, putting that letter in an envelope along with my licence. I took it to the DVLA in Swansea myself and was pointed in the direction of a silver postbox by security. I dropped the letter in there.

Piddled off and stressed.is the understatement. A certain government arm messes up, and just as the mess up is uncovered I am trying to order my new Motability car, AND I get a call from a coach company for an interview as I showed an interest in becoming a driver! The mess up has affected both.  You see what happened was, back earlier this year I got in touch with the DVLA about removing the medical part of my driving licence as I no longer need insulin to control my diabetic control. When this happened somehow code '78' got added. This code means only AUTOMATIC cars can be driven. I've only ever driven manual cars, never been assessed for automatic. Before I sent in the request there was no code '78' Code '01' is for glasses / contacts And after the request for the medical part, code '78' was added! I really do have very little sympathy for strikers across the UK right now, sorry I just don't. We all went through the Pandemic, all facing fuel and food price rises.  A large proportion of the public are not on index linked occupational pensions, and can't strike or have no means of redress.  The country is deep in debt thanks to the Conservatives, there is no 10 Downing Street Money Tree. At least you have a job, lots still don't after getting laid off during the pandemic. If you are not happy then vote for another party, get the Conservatives out of power, make your voice heard, write to your MP, don't bring what is left of this country down and disable it any more than you have done.  Keep pushing forward, write those letters. Your MP will listen, they will take notice, they have to, it is their job, it is why we vote for them. If we all write demanding an election and also a vote on getting back in to the EU, they will have to pay attention. Together w
